B. Ease your foot off the gas and brake gently.
When your right wheels run onto a soft shoulder, the best way to regain control and return to the highway safely is to ease off the gas pedal and brake gently. This helps you slow down gradually without causing a sudden loss of control. Steering too sharply (as in option C) or braking too hard (as in options A and D) can cause the vehicle to skid or lose stability, increasing the risk of an accident. Once you have slowed down, gently steer back onto the road when it is safe to do so.
